Day 9: Himba TribesHeading inland again you drive north towards Kamanjab where you will meet with some of the local people of the area. Days 10 & 11: Etosha National ParkAn early rise sees you on your way to Etosha National Park and some of most unique game viewing experiences in Africa. You spend your days visiting the abundant water holes for some excellent game photography. After your evening meal you relax at some of the finest floodlit waterholes in the world.
Occasionally it may not be possible to overnight inside the National Park in which case you will spend the night at a lovely guest farm just outside of Etosha. During the rainy season, animals are scattered over a vast grazing area, congregating in large numbers on the plains west of the pan where the grazing is good. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner |
Day 12: Windhoek, NamibiaAfter an early morning game drive you set off towards Windhoek, the capital of Namibia. In the evening you will likely visit Joe’s Beerhouse where there are many different game meats available to try (vegetarians are also catered for). Breakfast, Lunch. Day 13: Bushmen TribeLeaving Windhoek behind, you head towards the Kalahari and the Botswana border. Here you have the opportunity to interact with the local Bushmen community and do other activities. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Optional Activities: Bushmen Walk. |
Days 14, 15 & 16: Okavango Delta, BotswanaYour journey takes you from Ghanzi to Maun. The afternoon can be spent exploring the town or relaxing at camp. The next morning you will leave early for the airport where you will board planes and transfer in to the Delta.
During your time in the Delta you will go on a nature walk and a mokoro(Occasionally unavailable due to seasonality) ride with the local people. The following morning the planes come and collect you and you return to Maun. The flight is a wonderful scenic experience and the Delta is spectacular. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner |
Days 17: Caprivi National Park, NamibiaThe Delta is left behind as you pass through the Caprivi National Park in Namibia, camping under the stars on the banks of the Zambezi River. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner |
