Sossusvlei's rich ochre sea of rippling sand dunes is one of the most wondrous sights in the world. The feminine curves rise tantalisingly to 305 metres (1,000 feet). The colours change throughout the day from burnt orange through red to deepest mauve.
Female Cheetahs often remain solitary except when tending to a litter. Male Cheetahs will usually form a lifetime coalition of two or three, only rarely ever choosing to live alone.
