Day 22: Palapye / Martinsdrift to Johannesburg, South Africa

After another 6.00 am departure, you enter into South Africa. Covering the next 450 – 550km on sealed roads you should get to Johannesburg as early as possible. Take the time to enjoy one of the many local restaurants. No meals included.

Day 23: Kwa Madwale Reserve, South Africa

After an early start in Johannesburg, you travel through the South African province of Mpumalanga en route to Kruger National Park. This afternoon, you enter the Kwa Madwale Game Reserve just south of Kruger Park.

After setting up camp you enjoy a 3 hour evening game drive followed by local dancing and dinner. Look out for the shiny eyes of the nocturnal animals and keep your cameras ready. Breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Days 24 & 25: Kruger National Park, South Africa

On day 24, you start with a morning game walk before proceeding into the Kruger National Park. After setting up camp, you enjoy an afternoon game drive from the comfort of the overland truck. On the way keep your eyes open for amazing African wildlife.

The truck gives you a more elevated view of Kruger Park and the ability to spot big cats and other smaller game that can be hiding in the vegetation. You have the option to take part in a night game drives with a SANParks Game Ranger (subject to availability). Breakfast, lunch, dinner on both days.

Day 26: Panorama Route to Johannesburg, South Africa

This morning you have the option of going on a morning game walk with a SANParks ranger (subject to availability) before leaving Kruger National Park and travelling to Johannesburg. You can enjoy the scenic wonders of the spectacular Panorama Route in South Africa.

The Blyde River Canyon is the 3rd largest canyon in the world, with breathtaking views of formations such as God’s Window and the Three Rondavels.

You can also see The Bourke’s Luck Potholes, which have been gradually eroded by the Treur River. Your tour ends on arrival in Johannesburg and most groups spend this last night together at a local restaurant. Breakfast and lunch.
