Days 11 &12 - Swakopmund, Namibia
Leaving Etosha you journey to Swakopmund, a delightful Bavarian-style town, situated snugly between sea and desert. Great beaches, deep-sea fishing, quad biking, dune boarding plus an array of shops, bars and restaurants await you.
In Swakopmund you are free to explore at your leisure or partake in the many optional activities. This is also a chance to catch up on laundry, banks and communications. All meals except breakfast are to your own account in Swakopmund. Hotel Accommodation (Hotel Grunen Kranz) |
Days 13 & 14 - The Namib Naukluft National Park, NamibiaYou continue on the Victoria Falls to Cape Town Overland Tour to The Namib Naukluft National Park and the giant sand dunes of Sossusvlei. This is one of the world's oldest deserts, offering over 130 million years of natural wonder, and the highest sand dunes in the world! Climb the dunes for an unforgettable sunrise. Adventure activities abound, including guided walks, hot air ballooning and light aircraft flights. |

On day 14 of the Victoria Falls to Cape Town Overland Tour you leave very early in the morning into the park - departure time at around 5.00am. Head for Dune 45 and clime the dune in time to catch the sunrise over the dunes, after which you proceed on to Sossusvlei and the 2x4 parking area. From here it is an approximate 5km (3.1 miles) walk to the vlei where you are free to explore. |

Stunning photographic opportunities are available in the dunes. We depart Sossusvlei and arrive back at camp at around 10am and prepare a scrumptious brunch. In the late afternoon you are free to take a walk to the nearby Sesriem canyon - and return to camp for the evening meal. Day 15 - The Fish River Canyon, Namibia
You head for the awesome Fish River Canyon. The camp is at Hobas camp, which is managed by National Parks of Namibia. There is a small shop stocking basics only and a swimming pool for relaxation. There will be ample time to take in a beautiful sunset over the canyon, or partake in an optional walk. Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Camping (Hobas) |
Days 16: Gariep (formerly Orange) River, Namibia
You border cross into South Africa and head for the camp on the riverbank. You will have a full free day to partake in an optional canoe safari, or take a sunset cruise. The camp is on the South African side of the river. Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Camping (Fiddlers Creek)

Day 17: Lamberts BayYou depart for Lamberts Bay. Breakfast and lunch. Camping (Lamberts Bay Caravan Park or similar).
