You will be taken on game walks by your poler guides to experience the full splendor of the region. Please note that there are no ablution facilities what so ever, and camps will be bush camps. Day 7 - Gobabis, NamibiaYou travel and cross the border into Namibia and proceed to Gobabis where we will overnight on a private game farm. The first night in Namibia and a fitting place to hear fireside tales of your Victoria Falls to Cape Town Overland journey so far and have your guides describe the days ahead. Camping (Zelda's Game and Guest Farm) Day 8 - Waterberg Plateau National Park, NamibiaYou leave Gobabis and travel on the Victoria Falls to Cape Town Overland Tour via Windhoek, for the Waterberg Plateau National Park. Historically significant because it was the site of the war between the Germans and the Hereros, the area has now become a haven for many endangered species. It is renowned for its incredible rock formations and walks.
Your time in the Waterberg is your own and you are free to walk in the park at your leisure. Excellent well marked hiking trails make for easy self guided walks. Camping (Bernard De La Bat - Waterberg Plateau) Days 9 &10 - Etosha National Park, NamibiaEtosha National Park is Namibia's premier game park. Dominated by shimmering white saltpans you have a chance to see Elephant and Black Rhino, Lion and Leopard. All camps have floodlit water holes, which are excellent for after dinner game viewing, as well as swimming pools for cooling off during the heat of the day. You will enjoy 3 game drives whilst at Etosha. |
