11 day Damara & Okavango Trail. Namibia, Botswana

Day 1: Swakopmund, Namibia

On day one of your African safari, you will be accommodated in a lodge with a distinct and well preserved colonial character atmosphere. Swakopmund boasts several excellent restaurants, bars, coffee shops, as well as many arts and crafts shops selling unique Namibian rural art. The fine beaches along the walkways will take you to the museums, the aquarium and many galleries in the area. Breakfast will be included.

Days 2 & 3: Damaraland, Namibia

Your exciting African safari continues to the north of Namibia where the Damaraland people and many rock art galleries awaits you. The next 2 days will be spent meeting the Damaraland people, admiring the natural rock art galleries and searching the elusive desert Elephant of this region. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included at Damaraland Tented Camp.

Days 4 & 6: Etosha National Park, Namibia

Etosha National Park is the largest wildlife park in Namibia and offers a wide variety of game viewing and game driving opportunities. This is an educational visit where most of your time will be spent on game drives, admiring and learning about the wildlife of Namibia and Etosha National Park. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included on this African safari.

Day 7: Bushmanland, Namibia

Today your African safari will depart to Bushmanland for an overnight visit to a traditional bushman village. This is indeed a memorable and culturally rich experience. The San people of Namibia live in local villages and you will also get a chance to exchange thoughts with that of a Bushman. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included.

Days 8-10: Okavango Delta, Botswana

Today your African safari trails leads to the magnificent Okavango River. The waterways of the delta are full of wildlife and natural beauty. Your trail will lead to the dugout canoes of the local Barakwena and Hambakushu of this area. For the next few days you will travel on foot and in a dugout canoe (mokoro) along with a houseboat experience to explore the many waterways and eco systems of the Okavango. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included.

Day 11: Maun, Botswana

After breakfast your African safari will end and you will be transferred to the private airport where a scenic flight and small aircraft will be waiting. The next 2 hours is spent low flying and enjoying the vast landscapes of Namibia on this scenic transfer flight. Breakfast is included.
